On July 1-3, the "2023 China Intelligent Vehicle Conference and National Intelligent Vehicle Development Forum" co-sponsored by the Information Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Chinese Association of Automation was held in Guangzhou Nansha Binhai International Conference Center. Lv Jiming , our CTO, was invited by the  fifth electronic research institute of MIIT. Attended the Intelligent Driving Safety Technology Forum and made a report "Research on intelligent driving test technology based on the whole vehicle traffic environment in the loop system".

CTO Jiming Lv said in the report that with the development of the industry, the automatic driving system only needs to meet the specific functional requirements of the L2, and the subsequent expansion to the functional requirements of various scenarios such as conditional automatic driving (so-called "L3") or highly automatic driving (L4) systems, which need to meet the functional requirements of various scenarios, will lead to the number of scenarios for car testing and verification to increase exponentially.

 

In addition, the actual scene has complexity, randomness and uncertainty due to the variability of weather, road, traffic participants, working conditions and other factors, and the complexity of testing and verification will also increase greatly, which also poses a great challenge to the test system.

According to the report, our self-developed vehicle traffic Environment in the Loop System Solution (VTEHIL) integrates existing proven equipment and measurement technology to significantly improve the efficiency of Euro NCAP and C-NCAP scenario testing, and flexibly implement complex and dangerous scenarios consisting of multiple traffic participants and elements.
